Joseph Lamptey’s ban should be a lesson to Ghanaian referees – Nyantakyi

Ghana FA President Kwesi Nyantakyi has advised Ghanaian referees to deduce a huge lesson from Joseph Lamptey life time ban by the World Football governing body FIFA.

Joseph Lamptey was banned for last year from officiating by FIFA for awarding a dubious penalty to South Africa against Senegal in their 2018 World Cup Qualifier.

Nyantakyi who doubles as First Vice President of CAF has described the incident as  an called for but has advised  Ghanaian referees to take a clue from it and stay away from any conduct that will end their career prematurely.

” It is unfortunate this incident has happened” Nyantakyi said.

“Unfortunately when this incident occurred some of us were not thinking of these huge penalty”

” l was surprised it could happened to him”

” l just hope some of us here should take a clue from that and try to stay away from any conduct that will lead to suspicious and making you subject of investigation and eventually been sanction”

Fifa has ordered for a replay of the game between South Africa and Senegal in November.
